During his time at Varndean College, Laurence also established a partnership with Acustica Audio, marking the college as the first 6th Form College in the country to achieve this.

Having taught music at Key Stage 2 and 3, Laurence is well-equipped to guide students through the intricacies of music theory and practice.
Games Design
For those interested in game design, Laurence provides tutoring based on his five years of experience teaching Games Design BTEC. His lessons cover a variety of areas, including concept art using Photoshop, 3D modelling using Blender, texturing using Blender and Photoshop, 2D game creation with Unity, 2D pixel art with Piskel, 3D game environment creation with Unity and Blender, sound asset creation with Reaper, sound integration using Wwise and FMOD, C# programming using Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code, and coding using Blueprints in Unreal Engine 4 and 5.

Programme Leader: Music Technology A level
Laurence was instrumental in shaping the course and guiding students through their studies for the 9 and half years he was a Music Tech Teacher for. His deep understanding of music technology and his passion for teaching were evident in his leadership.
Programme Leader: Games Design BTEC
Laurence brought his expertise in game design to the forefront. He not only taught the course but also led it, ensuring that the curriculum was up-to-date and engaging for students. Teaching since 2018 he led the program from 2020 on until 2022.
Lead Inviglator
Laurence took on administrative responsibilities, ensuring that examinations and assessments were conducted smoothly and fairly. This role required a high level of organisation and attention to detail. Laurie held this position from 2020 until 2022.
Funk Band Conductor
One of Laurence's most enjoyable roles and one in which Laurie is most proud of, in this position he had the opportunity to work closely with a group of talented musicians, guiding them through performances and helping them hone their musical skills.
Each of these roles allowed Laurence to bring his unique blend of skills and passions to Varndean College. His dedication to his students and his commitment to excellence in teaching have left a lasting impact on the institution.
